OUR MISSION
Tennsita Foundation was founded in 2021 as a registered sports-based development non-profit organization with the name Tennis for Societal Transformation our mission is;
To provide tennis, academics and life skills training to young people through a sports-based programme that drives physical development, support academic excellence and equip young people with the necessary skills to succeed in life and contribute to positive change in their communities.

In the course of executing our programmes, we engage, parents, communities, schools and other partner organizations with our tennis and life skill training, to promote the physical and mental well-being of young people and inspire them towards living healthy lives, excelling in their academics, making quality decisions about their career and positively contributing to development in their community.

OUR TENNIS TRAINING
Our Tennis program features an eight-week beginner to expert training with meaningful and positive experiences that will be enjoyable and lead to positive development while keeping the focus on fun, being active and developing the right skill with lifelong benefits. While promoting being healthy and fit, our coaches will teach basic physical tennis skills such as footwork, serving, balance, forehand and backhand stokes. Discipline, endurance, flexibility, motivation, concentration, team spirit, strength and strategy are some of the metal skills that are at the forefront of all trainings.
Our beneficiaries will have access to free tennis equipment, gear, courts, and career growth opportunity in tennis through our partnerships and allies. Our beneficiaries will also get educational support in their pursuit of academic excellence. It is important to all that all our participants excel in their academics.
OUR ACADEMIC SUPPORT PROGRAMME
Our academics program provides support to our tennis program beneficiaries to assist their learning process so that they can meet and supersede the required learning standard and progress exceptionally in their school. Resources include but are not limited to; provision of notebooks, textbooks and writing materials, backpacks and school uniform assistance, scholarships programs, homework help and tutoring.
It has been scientifically proven that sports and physical activity positively imparts academic excellence and vice versa. To this end, we emphasize the opportunity available for our beneficiaries to leverage on both areas.
LIFE SKILL TRAINING
Our life skill programme is designed to complement the Tennis and Academic Support programmes we provide to students, by helping them learn useful skills in navigating through life, find new ways of thinking, solving problems and build confidence in speaking and group collaboration.
This training workshops will include modules of short courses that will be carried out with children and adolescents who are part of tennis training or not.
The modules of our short courses fall under three broad categories as identified by the World Health Organization (WHO)
- Critical thinking skills/Decision-making skills
- Interpersonal/Communication skills
- Coping and self-management skills
Other subcategories include but not limited to; creative thinking, self-awareness, Emotional intelligence, problem solving, wellness & health awareness, personality discovery, money management, work readiness, public speaking, technical skills, time management, team work, home economics, negotiation, effective planning & implementation, basic etiquette, self-discipline, research and numeracy skill, leadership among others.
