Every champion starts somewhere. For Zara Adegoke and Atilola Mofifun, that somewhere was the Tennista Foundation.

Zara's Story

Zara has been practicing how to play tennis since when she was 6yrs old. From a very young age she learnt how to hold a racket, how to read the ball, and how to stay steady on her feet after a missed shot.

Tennis has a way of teaching patience before it teaches power, and Zara learned both. Match after match, her footwork sharpened and her focus grew.

This year, hardwork, resilience and discipline showed up on the scoreboard. Zara won the U-12 girls' category at the Tennista Foundation Junior Tennis Tournament, defeating her opponent 4-1 and 4-2 on the clay courts of Lagos Country Club.

Why your donation
or support matters

Zara and Mofifun didn't get here on their own. Someone showed up to coach them. A court was open when they needed it. Someone made sure a racket was in their hands before they ever won a single point.

We're saying all this because there are more kids just like them out in the world, right now, with the same hunger and the same potential just waiting for their own shot. Zara's and Mofifun's story aren't rare. It's something we can give to another child if we keep showing up for them.

This is what your donation makes possible: it gives a chance to every child out there. Give a child their own court to grow on. Your donation puts a racket in the next child's hand and a shot at their own story of growth.
